This first edition 2015 highlights the activities developed and the ones been prepared for the upcoming months in the Latin American countries where the program is implemented.

For example, in January, Chile hosted a very successful meeting of the Vision Building Group (VBG) (the new name for SBT in Phase III MAPS Chile). The next technical meeting will take place in April and will consider critical themes for the long term and co-impacts of mitigation actions. Chile’s INDC national consultation will be finalized by the end of March. This is likely to produce extra analytical work for the MAPS Chile team.

IES-Brasil is currently writing their project reports, having collected feedback from their CEC members on the preliminary results. Final outputs will be presented on the 18th of March in the final CEC5.

PlanCC’s next milestone is a strategic and planning workshop in early March. The outcome of the workshop will lead to the design of PlanCC Phase II due to start in April. Government officials, researchers and donors will be invited to the workshop to discuss needs and expectations.

Last but not least, Colombia will host its second stakeholder meeting mid March to further advance the conversation around their INDC. All the best to everyone, and talk soon.
