Almost 500 million smallholder farmers are feeding some 2 billion people in the world. Nevertheless, in developing countries the problem of undernourishment mostly affects farming communities. Food security is the main theme of the world exhibition in Milan, Expo Milano 2015, that will host visitors from countries all around the world until the end of October 2015. At the Swiss pavilion the SDC will present its projects and innovative activities in support of smallholder farms.
