Invitation and Call for Papers for the 18. ETH Conference on Combustion Generated Nanoparticles

We cordially invite you to come to Zurich on June 22nd to 25th and share with us the results of your recent research on Combustion Generated Nanoparticles

The ETH Conference on Combustion-Generated Nanoparticles serves as an interdisciplinary platform for expert discussions on all aspects of nanoparticles, freshly emitted from various sources, aged in ambient air, technical mitigation aspects, impact of particles on health, environment and climate and legislation. The conference brings together representatives from research, industry and legislation.

This year the conference will be opened by Prof. Dr. Lino Guzzella, rector of the ETH Zürich. Invited keynote speakers are Prof. Dr. Reinhard Zellner, University Duisburg-Essen, and Dr. Andreas Mayer, Technik Thermische Maschinen – TTM. They will speak on “Strategies for research and policies to reduce health effects from nanoparticles in ambient air” and “OEMs responsibility to keep emissions on lowest possible levels throughout engine life”.

Andreas Mayer, is a consultant for the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC in CALAC Project, Climate and Clean Air in Latin American Cities. This is implemented in Colombia and Chile.

The project promotes the efficiency and speed of the reduction of air pollutants harmful to human health and mitigates climate change through the application of diesel particulate filters (DPF) engines. The program will support the alliance of major cities in Latin America to commit to take swift action and make a difference on two fronts at once: public health and climate.

Please send your abstracts not later than 11. April 2014 to ttm.a.mayer@bluewin.ch using the attached Paper/Poster-Abstract Form and do not forget to additionally register online on www.nanoparticles.ethz.ch. Exhibitors should apply as soon as possible using the attached Exhibitor Application Form and send it to ETH.exhibition@matter-aerosol.ch.
