If the negative effects of climate change can be felt across the planet, the most destitute populations – those whose very survival depends on the existence of unspoiled nature – are the first to suffer.
In the countries of the South and East in particular, climate change is exacerbating natural disasters, poverty and hunger. This deterioration presents a major challenge for development cooperation: climate change endangers sustainable development, as well as the progress already made.
These and other thoughts and experiences of the different projects that the Swiss Cooperation – SDC drives around the world are presented in the fourth edition of the Newsletter, we invite you to learn more about these activities in this link.
