Discover the inspiring stories of Andean men and women who, with creativity and effort, have brought their own ventures to life in the video series «Climate ERIs.» These entrepreneurs, supported by the FONCODES’ Haku Wiñay program, show us how the Andean countryside is brimming with innovative ideas and a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit.
Despite the challenges of climate change, these businesses strive to establish themselves in the market. The Resilient Andes project has conducted a detailed diagnosis to identify the climate obstacles they face, seeking adaptation strategies that allow them to grow and thrive.
Through the Haku Wiñay program, FONCODES drives Inclusive Rural Enterprises (ERIs), providing resources and support to families and producer groups in rural communities. These ventures generate significant income and supply local markets, thus contributing to the sustainable development of rural areas.
Let’s join this exciting initiative that not only promotes rural entrepreneurship but also seeks to strengthen climate adaptation in family farming, in line with Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
We encourage you to discover more about these stories. Together, we can advance sustainable development and build resilience to climate change in the Andean highlands.
