The Andean Regional Water Forum 2022 was held in October 2022, a space in which the evolution, current situation and projections of water management and water resources in the region were addressed. The event was organised by the General Secretariat of the Andean Community, with the support of the regional project Andes Resilientes al Cambio Climático, facilitated by the HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation – Fundación Avina consortium and the Bolivia Integrated Water Management project, both financed by the Swiss Cooperation (SDC), and was attended by national and local authorities, academia and civil society from Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Peru.
As a result of this meeting and in a coordinated work with the Andean Community (CAN), a report was published, documenting the challenges, priorities, and common points in terms of water resources in the context of climate change.

About Andes Resilientes
The regional project Andes Resilientes al Cambio Climático collaborates with national actors with competencies in agriculture and rural development, environment and water, and economic and social inclusion. Andes Resilientes is promoted by the Global Climate Change and Environment Programme of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), facilitated by the HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation – Fundación Avina consortium, with the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) as a partner and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) as a strategic ally. The project´s first phase covers the period May 2020 to July 2024.
